Rejuvenation is referred to as "Rasayana" in Ayurvedic scriptures. Rasayana is characterised in Ayurveda as "that which kills old age and disease." The Rasayana, also known as rejuvenation therapy, tries to maintain the tissue cells' enzymes in a state where they can continue to operate normally. This therapy rejuvenates these cells. The bones and nerves are kept soft and comforting, and mental serenity is encouraged. This slows the ageing process and keeps the individual disease-free even as they get older.
In Ayurveda, rejuvenation therapy (Rasayana Chikitsa) helps tone the skin and strengthen body tissues to promote lifespan. Due to the enhancement of the "Ojas" (primary vitality) and the "Sattva," the body's overall resistance also rises (mental clarity). Additionally, the patient will receive body and face massages utilising custom-made herbal oils and creams that are specially formulated to meet their needs. Specialized medications tailored to the patient's constitution and therapeutic steam baths are some other treatment options.
One of the eight divisions of Ayurvedic science is called Rasayana therapy (rejuvenation), and it focuses on several aspects of preventive health care. This specific procedure aids in rescuing a person from the grip of old age and returning them to their youthful vitality. This unique area of Ayurvedic science’s ultimate aim is to maintain immunity and keep your body young and vibrant. Rasayana therapy is thoroughly described in the earliest Ayurvedic writings, including Ashtangahridaya, Charaka Samhita, Sushrutha Samhita, etc.
Rejuvenation with Ayurveda aims to help you enjoy life to the fullest. It also suggests using diverse combinations of foods, plants, and food products that harness the potent power of Mother Nature.
Rejuvenation therapies provided by us are:
1. Abhyangam & Swedam
Abhyanga – is a massage that’s done with warm oil. The oil is applied on the entire body, from the scalp to the soles of your feet.
Swedana – Swedana, or Sudation Therapy, involves inducing sweat in the patient. It channels amam, or pent-up toxins inside the body, to places from where they can be easily ejected by the system during Pradhanakarma.
2. Mardhana – Mardana is one among the Bahya Sneha, where it is a therapeutic massage with pressure performed simultaneously on both sides of the patient’s body with strokes synchronized in the same direction.
3. Vishesha Abhyanga – is a massage that’s done with warm oil. The oil is applied on the entire body, from the scalp to the soles of your feet.
4. Head, Foot & Shoulder Massage
5. Paadabhyanga – Padabhyangam can be loosely translated as “foot massage “or “foot therapy”. Foot care is holistic and involves massaging the pressure points with herbal and medicinal oils.
